My Point about Morton is made

The Pirates were shelled with Morton on the mound. I said it several times, Morton is the weak link. He is the problem with the Pirates right now. Can Lincoln get to the majors fast enough? Why do people keep saying, "questions remain about Morton's mental toughness". There are no questions. Witness tonight's fourth inning. Morton could not get anyone out once things went bad. Not even Adam LaRoche, who did not have any hits all season before that inning. There is no question: Morton is not tough enough for the big leagues. I would rather have Lincoln, I would rather have Hart, I would rather have a four man rotation. Morton is not ready.

In fairness, Brad Lincoln got beat down tonight in Triple A giving up 8, 7 of which were earned. Thanks to two doubles by Tabata and Pierce as well as two homers by Alvarez and a boat load of other hits the Indians still won the game 14-12. The Pirates AAA, AA, and High A all won tonight. The Low A squad in West Virginia failed to produce any runs at all and lost their second.
